AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D Leaks Early: Boost Clock Up to 5.6GHz, Expected at CES 2026

As the launch of AMD’s next-generation Zen 5 X3D processors approaches, related products have started appearing in retail channels.

According to @momomo_us, the R7 9850X3D has been listed by several retailers in the US and Switzerland, with prices exceeding $500 (approximately ¥3,524 RMB), likely placeholder pricing.

Currently, the processor is available at the US enterprise distributor SHI for around $553 (≈ ¥3,898 RMB). Meanwhile, a Swiss retailer lists the CPU at 473.55 CHF, roughly $549 (≈ ¥3,870 RMB).

The R7 9850X3D is considered a hand-picked, overclocked version of the R7 9800X3D, maintaining 8 cores, 16 threads, 96MB L3 cache + 8MB L2 cache. The main difference is the boost clock, raised from 5.2GHz to 5.6GHz, a 400MHz increase.

The market expects the R7 9850X3D to be officially launched at CES 2026. Analysts speculate that the final price could be close to $500, potentially matching the MSRP of the R7 9800X3D at launch ($479, ≈ ¥3,376 RMB).

In addition to the R7 9850X3D, several new MSI models have appeared on the platform, expanding options for the Zen 5 ecosystem.
